DIY Retro Cellphone Handset
When I saw the retro-phone handset on thinkgeek I knew I wanted one. Then I realized they wanted $30+ for it, and I thought to myself — I can build that. So after some cutting, testing, and building I have finished my Retro-Cell phone handset, and I will show you how you can build your own for under $10.00

So, there I am picking out new eye glass frames, and in walks a woman with an eight year old boy.
The clerk goes to help her – she is there to pick up the boy’s new frames. The clerk starts to adjust them and the boy says “KEWL! They Bend!”
All three of us – me, the clerk, and the boy’s mom shout “No!” simultaneously.
OK, so here are some pictures – some new and some I have been remiss in not posting sooner…
The HP Image Print conference in Olando – including Epcot
Festival Park in Manteo
Last night there was a reception at Epcot. I have a couple of drinks and then Minnie Mouse and Goofy arrive. I go and Andy (my manager) takes a snapshot of me and Minnie. Next thing we know, three Disney cast members have us surrounded.
“Is that a digital camera?”
“Can you delete the picture?”
“We could loose our jobs!”
“You can’t take a picture with Mickey Mouse while holding a drink!”
Ahh… now it makes sense. I had a drink in my hand and didn’t realize it. Sure, no problem. Delete the picture and they take a new one. No big deal. Though I did consider saying “But, I didn’t take a picture with Mickey Mouse while holding a drink – I took a picture with Minnie Mouse.” But they were too stressed to cope with that. And they were awfully nice – not a big deal really.
But if you can’t take a picture with Mickey Mouse while holding a drink, why can you buy at least five different shot glasses with his picture?
Something to ponder – though I am considering asking the Disney staff that very question.
After I leave.
OK, so the conference is at the Disney Coronado Hotel. It is very nice but its well big and confusing…
Here is the map of the resort:

My room is in the green buildings. The meetings and check in etc are in the big gold building. Doesn’t seem like a big deal but the buildings are not signed and not actually color coded. And its a hike – especially with bags.
For perspective, here is an arial view:

But it is pretty:
