A year plus of 90 degree temperatures and power shortages in the server lab.
Three months of trying to get authorization for the necessary construction.
Four months with the engineers, contractors, and finance people going back and forth
Four months of after hours and weekend construction.
Final commissioning and turn over of the two new HVAC units and UPS.
Two weeks of unexplained alarms and strange cooling patterns (hot on one side of the room cold on the other).
And now, a coolant leak in one of the units.
Priceless.

A. Having been the first responder to an accident where two students from my college were killed rather violently – the campus was in turmoil over it, but as a traumatized rescue worker, I needed to be away from that and yet could escape it.

A. I have a devilish time buying shoes – the front of my foot is wide but the heel is narrow so finding shoes that dont slip is a large PITA
