I started college at Geneseo, just south of Rochester, NY. I did grad school in Connecticut and Boston. I have walked around St. Petersburg at Christmass and Moscow at New Years. I know what cold is.

I get that double digit positive farenheit temperatures are not really that cold. I get that this time of year in some places that’s actually quite balmy, really.

But, I have been living in North Carolina for fifteen plus/minus years now, and my body just is not used to 16 degree weather.

And no matter what the temperature, when you step on the grass and it goes crunch because its frozen – well, thats cold.
